Clinton urges Russia over human rights

As she ends her European tour, US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has exhorted Russia to respect human rights and the democratic process,
She told Moscow's students of her "great concern" over attacks on human rights activists, saying people should be safe to challenge abuses of authority.
Later Mrs. Clinton will travel to religiously and ethnically mixed Tatars tan, east of Moscow, before returning to the US.
Her five-day European trip included stops in Zurich, London and Belfast.
On Tuesday she met Russia's Foreign Affairs Minister Sergei Lavrov and President Dmitry Medvedev, but failed to win specific pledges from Moscow on tougher sanctions against.

Hillary Clinton termine sa tournée par la Russie
Alors qu’elle termine sa tournée européenne, la Secrétaire d'Etat américaine Hillary Clinton a vivement recommandé à la Russie de respecter les droits de l’homme et le processus démocratique.

Elle a parlé à des étudiants de Moscou de sa "grande préoccupation" concernant les attaques contre les défenseurs des droits de l'homme, en disant que la sécurité des personnes qui dénoncent les abus d'autorité devrait être assurée.

Plus tard, Mme Clinton devait se rendre au Tatarstan, une région religieusement et ethniquement hétérogène située à l'est de Moscou, avant de retourner aux États-Unis.

Sa tournée européenne comprenait des étapes à Zurich, Londres et Belfast.

Mardi, elle a rencontré le Ministre des Affaires étrangères Serguei Lavrov et le Président: Dmitri Medvedev mais la rencontre a échoué car Moscou s’est refusé à prendre des engagements spécifiques sur des sanctions plus sévères contre l'Iran.
