RUSSIA UNVEILS ITS FUTURIST COMBAT PLANE Ultra fast, stealthy, equipped with hypersonic missiles, connected and autonomous in flight, Russia presented the final version of the Sukhoi Su-57, the aircraft of the future, with an automated cockpit. Russia’s fifth-generation, Su-57 fighter jet now incorporates maximum automation capability that will allow to fly itself, allowing the pilot to more fully focus on combat. According to Nikita Dorofeyev , Head of the Cockpit Department at Sukhoi Design :“Theoretically, the pilot, after taking off and before the landing, may not fly at all, but search and attack targets. Moreover, this process is also sufficiently automated,” The aircraft combines the features of a fighter jet as well as an attack plane. The Su-57 can neutralize a wide variety of air, land, and sea targets. Beside supersonic cruising speed, the fighter includes a powerful onboard computer, also called the electronic second pilot, and side-facing radars mounted below the cockpit to provide a greater sensor field of view. Also, the plane is made in such material that renders it almost invisible to the radar. After the successful tests of the plane, the Russian Air Force headquarters have already placed an order for 76 Su-57s.
LA RUSSIE DÉVOILE SON AVION DE COMBAT FUTURISTE Ultra rapide, furtif, doté de missiles hypersoniques, connecté et autonome en vol, la Russie a présenté la version définitive du Sukhoi Su-57, son avion du futur, avec un cockpit automatisé. L’avion de combat Su-57, 5ème du nom est maintenant équipé d’une autonomie maximisée qui lui permettra de voler en partie seule laissant les pilotes se concentrer sur le combat. " Théoriquement, après le décollage et jusqu'à l’approche pour l'atterrissage, le pilote peut ne pas piloter pour se concentrer sur la recherche et l'attaque de cible", a expliqué Nikita Dorofeyev, chef du département Cockpit du bureau de conception de Sukhoi. L’avion a les caractéristiques d’un avion de combat et d’un jet, combinant vitesse et puissance de feu. Il peut viser des cibles terrestres, aériennes voire maritimes. Cet avion a une vitesse de croisière supersonique, a un ordinateur ultra puissant intégré et un riche équipement électronique comme des radars. Le matériau dans lequel il est conçu le rendrait aussi presque invisible aux radars. Suite a des tests concluants, l’état-major russe aurait commandé 76 modèles du Su-57.
