The Sausage King murdered with a crossbow
On November 2, a Russian oligarch, nicknamed The Sausage King, was murdered with a crossbow.
The victim, Mr. Marugov, who owns large meat-processing plants, was in an outdoor sauna cabin with his wife when he was attacked, reportedly by two masked assailants. The attack happened at the estate of Mr. Marugov about 40 miles west of the capital.
"Several masked men entered the bathhouse ... tied up the owner of the house and his spouse, and then demanded money," the Investigative Committee's statement said. Then they escaped with the victim’s car which was found in a nearby village (Istra) during the subsequent search operation.
His wife managed to escape through the window and to call the police.
Detectives found the body of Mr. Marugov in the sauna with a crossbow next to it.
The Investigative committee did not name the man but local media identified him as Mr. Marugov, citing his ex-wife Tatyana Marugova, who confirmed his death.
The Investigative Committee has launched a criminal investigation, according to the statement published on its official website.
It is not yet clear who was behind the fatal attack and an investigation into the incident is ongoing.
Le Roi de la Saucisse abattu à l’arbalète
Le 2 novembre, Vladimir Marugov, le Roi de la Saucisse, un riche homme d’affaire russe a été tué d’un carreau d’arbalète.
La victime, qui possédait plusieurs usines de charcuteries, était dans son sauna avec sa femme lorsque l’attaque a eu lieu. Ils auraient été menacés par deux hommes masqués.
Sa femme aurait réussi à s’enfuir par la fenêtre et a appelé la police.
Lorsqu’ils sont arrivés sur les lieux les détectives ont trouvé une arbalète près du corps de M. Marugov.
Les enquêteurs ont rapporté que : « plusieurs hommes masqués sont entrés dans le sauna, ont ligoté les époux puis ont demandé de l’argent » puis se seraient enfuis avec la voiture de la victime retrouvée abandonnée dans un village proche du lieu du crime.
L’attaque a eu lieu dans la propriété du défunt à 40 km de Moscou.
Les enquêteurs n’ont pas donné le nom de la victime mais les médias locaux et son ex-femme, Tatyana Marugova, ont confirmé son identité.
Une enquête a été lancée pour retrouver les auteurs du crime pour définir qui sont les personnes derrière cette attaque.
